Unlike pressure seals, the primary function of a wiper seal is to remove dust, dirt, moisture, mud, sand, and abrasive particles from the rod surface before they reach the internal pressure seals. This significantly extends the service life of pressure seals, guide rings, bearings, and hydraulic components while reducing maintenance costs.
