It features a rubber-covered outer diameter with an internal metal reinforcement, a spring-loaded sealing lip, and an additional dust lip. This dual-lip construction helps retain lubricants while simultaneously preventing dust, dirt, moisture, and abrasive particles from entering the equipment.

The primary sealing lip is energized by a precision garter spring that maintains consistent radial pressure against the shaft surface. This ensures effective sealing performance even under continuous-duty operation, vibration, and varying temperatures. The auxiliary dust lip acts as a secondary barrier against external contamination, helping extend the life of bearings, shafts, gears, and other critical rotating components.
